Deb Rhodes, Vice President, Corporate Services & Chief Financial Officer, Alberta Health Services

Ms. Rhodes graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a bachelor of commerce degree. She earned her designation as a chartered accountant working with Deloitte in Saskatoon, where she focused on audits of large public companies.

In 1993, Deb joined the Saskatoon Health Region to take the role of accounting manager at St. Paul’s Hospital. She went on to serve 10 years as the region’s Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance with a portfolio that included finance, strategic planning, materials management, capital planning, facilities and environmental services.

In 2010, Deb joined Alberta Health Services (AHS) as Senior Vice President of Finance. She was appointed as AHS’ Vice President Corporate Services & Chief Financial Officer in 2014. In this role, Deb’s priority is to create user-friendly, efficient and effective corporate services systems across the province to better support front-line managers and caregivers.

The Corporate Services portfolio includes Finance, Contracting, Procurement and Supply Management (CPSM), Information Technology (IT), Capital Management, Planning and Performance and administrative oversight for Internal Audit & Enterprise Risk Management.

Deb is an Edmonton-area resident along with her husband, daughter and renowned K9 agility champions.
